Chris and I are sorry to hear about the loss of Dave’s life. He will be sadly missed. He had so much to give to everyone he knew. He had such a positive attitude with Chris when he was his mentor through the High School program and also to all his cub scouts. He was a good guy.
Sincerely,
Chris and Kim Baker

Facebook Twitter GoogleTo Ms. Spears and the entire Crabtree family,
We were so saddened to hear about Dave’s sudden illness and passing. We happened to be out of town and just heard late on Monday, or we would have certainly come to pay our respects. Dave is a favorite of both of my sons, through their involvement with Scouting, and he was a true gentleman. Dave is an example of an individual whom I have spoken to others about, one of the people who has made other peoples’ lives better, because he simply cared about them. His commitment to the boys and families in Scouting have made and will continue to make a difference in each of their lives, I sincerely believe. Always one to tell a joke, make others smile with the wearing of one of his many unusual hats (from his hat collection), or to make a Cub Scout feel pride after receiving an award badge and a “round” of applause that he led, Dave Crabtree was and is a caring example for humanity, for all of us who were blessed to know him.
We are better off for knowing him and caring about him, and we will certainly not forget him.
