Charles M. Steidle, 78, of rural Frankfort, died on Monday, November 19, 2018 at I.U. Frankfort Hospital. He was born April 29, 1940 in Elwood, Indiana to Charles W. & Dorothy (Thomas) Steidle. He married Phyllis M. Taylor on August 28, 1961 in Curtisville, Ind. and she survives.
Charlie was a 1958 graduate of LaFontaine High School and attended Ball State University from 1959-1962. He worked for Wolohan Lumber Company in Wisconsin and Indiana, and then retired from Farm Bureau Insurance in Frankfort, Ind. where he was associated for nearly 20 years. Charlie was of the Christian Faith. He was a member of the Vesta Masonic Lodge in Jefferson, Ind. He was an avid fisherman, and especially enjoyed fishing in Minnesota and Canada.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2018 and from 10-11 a.m. Monday, November 26th at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Ken Thompson officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. Monday, at the IOOF Cemetery, LaFontaine, Indiana. Memorial donations may be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or Clinton County Humane Society.

Wife: Phyllis M. Steidle of rural Frankfort, 2 Sons: Charles Jeffry and his wife Gina Steidle of Bethel, Ohio and Bradley Thomas Steidle of Frankfort, Ind. and Granddaughter: Lindsay and her husband Devon Eldridge of Martinsville, Ind.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Rigsbee and a granddaughter, Aislinn Miller.
