Charles E. Bond

Charles Emley "Shim" Bond 91, former Michigan Township resident, died at 9:10 a.m. October 6, 2009 at his home in Westfield. Charles was born May 11, 1918 in Clinton County, Indiana to Harvey and Maude Emley Bond. He married Lois Ellen Keller on June 30, 1938 and she survives. Mr. Bond was a 1936 graduate of Sugar Creek High School. He lived in rural Michigan Township for 62 years and was a farmer for 50 years, retiring in 1980. His memberships include Masonic Lodge 641 and Moose Lodge #7. Charles biggest delight was spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Whiteman Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society.

Survived by:

Charles is survived by his wife, Lois Ellen Bond of Westfield, Indiana. A daughter, Mary Lois (Richard) Mulkey of Westfield, Indiana. A granddaughter, Lisa Scott (John) Hodgin of Carmel, Indiana. Two great-grandson's, Luke and Zack Hodgin of Carmel, Indiana.
