Bonnie L. Pillion 85, of Frankfort, passed away at 6:36 a.m. on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Monticello Assisted Living and Health Care Center in Monticello, IN. Born July 13, 1925 in Ewing, Virginia to James Robert & Sallie Rena Cheek. She married Samuel E. Pillion on June 25, 1949 in Frankfort and he passed away May 22, 2003. Bonnie was a homemaker and had previously worked at American Laundry and Flora Cabinet Company. She was a graduate of Scircleville High School and a member of the Memorial Parkway Church of Christ.

Visitation and Services

Services will 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Goodwin Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.

Survived by:

1 Son: Larry Joe Pillion of Kokomo, IN 2 Daughters: Melinda Johnson of Medaryville, IN and Martha Herston of Spencer, IN 1 Sister: Evelyn Campbell of Hamilton, OH 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anita Miller who passed away on May 27, 1991 along with 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

    Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Pillion family. I remember Mrs. Pillion from the days when Larry and I were in grade-school together and my aunt, Jill Boyer, lived next door. All good people.
