Benson F. Goens

Benson F. Goens, 65, a resident of Farmland, Indiana, passed away December 30, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Muncie following a lengthy illness. Mr. Goens was born in Frankfort, Indiana, January 14, 1949. He graduated from Westfield High School and received his Bachelors Degree from Park College in Kansas City, Missouri. He served in the Army Special Forces from 1971 to 1979. Following his discharge he worked as an engineer, retiring from New Venture Gear in Muncie.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2015 at 12:30 PM with services to follow at 1:30 PM at Archer Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 E. Clinton St., Frankfort. Pastor Robert Bogue will officiate. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to woundedwarriorproject.org.

Survived by:

his mother, Shirley Goens of Kenton, Ohio, two sisters, Michaele (Mike) McPeek of Bellevue, Ohio and Joelene (George) Geranios of Round Rock, Texas, a niece, Chelsea McPeek of Columbus, Ohio, and cousins, George Phil (Susie) Rynerson, Robert (Debra) Laughner, and Jane (Ed) Ricker.

    I am so sorry to see today that Ben has passed away. I have tried numerous times to call him and Jane but I got no response. I have been to the house with no answer. : ( Shirley I have thought of you often. I don’t know if you remember me or not. I cleaned for Ben when he was ill prior to and when’s he had the liver transplant. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am unable to come to the mortuary, I have no transportation. May God send a comforter to you.
