Barbara Ann Scott Davis 78, of Frankfort, IN, died Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Clarian Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, IN. Born January 16, 1931 in Pittsburg, PA, to L. Kenneth & E. Cassandra (Borscht) Scott. She married James L. Davis on January 24, 1953 in West Lafayette, IN and he survives.
Mrs. Davis was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School, Cleveland, OH and Purdue University, with a B.A. degree in Family Science & Child Development. She had lived in Clinton County since 1953, was a homemaker and worked as a Supervisor of child welfare for the Clinton County Department of Welfare. Her memberships include; First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon and sang in the choir, Tri-Kappa, Kirklin PM Home Ec. Club. While at Purdue, she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority and the Purduettes. She was a former member of the John Purdue Club. Mrs. Davis was also active in the Open Door Health Clinic, Meals on Wheels and at Wesley Manor with various activities & committees.
Visitation and Services
Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Frankfort. Rev. Tom Jameson will officiate. Private family entombment will be held. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in memory of Barbara be made to the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Wesley Manor or the Kidney Foundation, envelopes will be available at the church or at the funeral home.

2 Daughters: Megan Sheets of Frankfort and Beth (Chris) Bolinger of Auburn, IN
1 Son: Bill (Sarah) Davis of Lafayette, IN
8 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren
Preceded by:
She was preceded in death by son, Tom Davis, grandson, Anderson Davis, son-in-law, Dick Sheets, sister, Dorothy Bodfish and her parents.
Barbara was a good co-ed at Purdue and a lovely lady. She and Jim were an outstanding couple, serving the community in many ways. This was too soon, Jim. We are sorry.
