Mrs. Witsman passed away at 9:45 a.m. January 7, 2012 at the Mulberry Health and Retirement Community where she had resided since October 2010. She was born on March 31, 1929 in Elmira, NY and was the daughter of R. G. & Lenna (Mowery) Ballard.  Alice married James A. Witsman on March 28, 1948 and he preceded her in death on July 25, 2002.  Mrs. Witsman attended Riley School and was a 1947 Graduate of Frankfort High School and a lifelong Frankfort resident.   She was a homemaker and also worked as an operator for Indiana Bell Telephone Co as an operator for 3 years.  She was a member of the East Side Christian Church and formerly a member of Eastern Star.  She will be sadly missed by many friends and neighbors.

Visitation and Services

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Goodwin Funeral Home.  Friends may visit one hour prior to the services.  Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the East Side Christian Church or the Mulberry Health and Retirement Community with envelopes available at Goodwin’s.  Online condolences may be made at goodwinfuneralhome.com
