Alexis N. Coomer, 20, of Frankfort, died at 9:08 p.m. October 11, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.  She was born April 5, 1997 in Frankfort, Indiana and her parents are Charles Jeffrey & Kathleen (Skehan) Coomer.

Alexis attended Frankfort High School and was a 2016 graduate of Peru High School where she was active in tennis & soccer.  She had worked at Zachary Confections, Taco Bell and Goodwill, all in Frankfort.  Alexis attended Harmony Baptist Church in Frankfort and Apostolic Chapel in Peru, Ind.  She loved photography and especially attending family activities.

Visitation and Services

Visiting will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort, with the services beginning at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society, P.O. Box 455, Frankfort, IN, envelopes will be available.

Coomer of Frankfort, Ind., Patrick Stason of Peru, Ind., Grandmother: Betty Coomer of Frankfort, Ind. and her Birthmother: Marcia (Michael) Graves of Peru, Ind.

    I want to send my condolences to your whole family. I had Alexis in my credit recovery classroom at PHS. We became close. She was such a joy. Always a smile on her face. She was such a blessing to me and so many others. May God give you comfort and peace through this difficult time!

    I worked with Alexis at Goodwill. She was a good worker and very dependable. She brought Indie out for us to see and she is so sweet. She will be greatly missed.

    What a sweet and contagious smile. Loved time spent with her when she interned in our guidance office at Peru High School. Received many precious hugs from her at our CMO Church. There are no words to express how sad this is. I will miss her and wish I had have gotten the chance to see her with Indie. You are loved Alexis.

    So sorry for the loss of Alexis. Want to thank Jeff, Kathleen and all of the Coomer Family for being who you were in her life. For teaching her what it was to be loved and to become a part of a family. I shared many wonderful memories with her as her ” big sister” through BBBS, as well as her next door neighbor and friend. What a breath of fresh air she was each time she stopped to check on Keith and I…..always all smiles! God has her in His hands today! She will forever be in our hearts.

    Kathi & Jeff: I just wanted you to know how truly sorry I am to find that your beautiful daughter Alexis had passed away. Losing a child is never easy for any parent to go through & words can’t begin to express how sorry I am for the both of you, her daughter, her siblings, & the rest of the Coomer Family. She is now flying high in Heaven & singing in Gods Choir along with Suzanne. Again so so sorry. If you ever need a listening ear my number is 765-947-2233 cause it’s a long journey that’s for sure.
